WHAT ARE E-LIQUIDS?

E-liquid, or e-juice, is the name of the solution that’s heated up and converted to an aerosol, inhaled by e-cigarette users. It consists of PG (Propylene Glycol), VG (Vegetable Glycerin), flavouring, water and (sometimes) nicotine.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Basically, an atomizer heats the liquid or e-juice to its boiling point and that becomes vapour which you can inhale. That’s why smoking e-cigarettes is often called “vaping”.

WHAT ARE E LIQUIDS MADE OF?

Typical e-juice, or e-liquid contains four ingredients. These ingredients are Propylene Glycol (PG) or Vegetable Glycerin (VG), water and flavouring. Nicotine is optional.

PG – Propylene Glycol. The fluid has no odour or colour and is less viscous than VG. In vaping, it is used to provide a ‘throat hit’, which some users claim is similar to the sensation experienced when smoking tobacco. It also carries flavour more effectively than VG
VG – Vegetable Glycerin. VG is a natural chemical, derived from vegetable oil and is generally recognized as safe. VG is the one responsible for producing the thickness of the vapour.

The hit from a high VG fluid is a lot smoother than with PG, making it more suitable for sub-ohm vaping.

Simply put sub-ohm is vaping on a device whose atomizer coils have a resistance of less than one ohm. Some advanced vapers have devices capable of “sub-ohm” to create more vapour or flavour.

NZ ECIG INFORMATION

The key difference between traditional cigarettes and e-cigarettes is that e-cigarettes don’t contain tobacco. The health dangers of cigarette smoking come from the tobacco, and from the chemicals added during production, not from the nicotine.

CIGARETTES VS VAPE DEVICES

You are legally entitled to purchase your products from Smoka Vape as it is legal to have e-liquids containing nicotine for personal use in New Zealand.
It is illegal to sell an e-cigarette in New Zealand (with or without nicotine) while making a therapeutic claim. We make no such therapeutic claim.

Associate Health Minister Nicky Wagner stated:
“Scientific evidence on the safety of e-cigarettes is still developing but there’s a general consensus that vaping is much less harmful than smoking,”.

THERE IS, OF COURSE, A NICOTINE-FREE OPTION, OUR E-LIQUIDS.

If you have concerns about nicotine you can still enjoy the vaping experience as Smoka Vape is available in 0mg, 3mg, 6mg and 12mg nicotine strengths. Your flavours will still be amazing and unique as they are not affected by the nicotine level.

What does each level mean?

As a rough guide:

Cigarettes contain anywhere from 8 mg of nicotine up to 20 mg of nicotine. Most cigarettes are at the lower end of the spectrum, which puts the average amount of nicotine in one cigarette at 12 mg. So, if you are vaping an 18 mg e-liquid from a 1 ml tank or cartridge each day and 50% of the nicotine is present in the vapour, that would mean that you are ingesting about 9 mg of nicotine per day, far less than a single cigarette.

The most important thing to stress is that there is no conclusive report because all ecigs are not the same, all e-liquids are not the same and therefore, all figures will differ.

Smoka Vape only sell top-quality products so you can rest assured you are getting the best experience possible.

Though nicotine is relatively safe for most individuals, it may have a negative effect on fetal development and as such should be avoided during pregnancy.

IS NICOTINE ILLEGAL IN AUS AND NZ?

Selling E-liquids to Australia
Currently, it is illegal to sell nicotine E-liquid in all states of Australia. Australian e-cigarette vendors cannot legally sell you nicotine, but it is perfectly legal for you to import nicotine for personal use by shipping it from the shores of New Zealand. The generally quoted acceptable amount is 3 months supply.

NICOTINE

A lot of people that don’t know about vaping will see that the e-juice contains Nicotine and not think there is any difference between an E-cigarette and an actual cigarette. There is. And the difference is huge.

WHAT IS NICOTINE?

Nicotine is a naturally occurring chemical within tobacco, the effects of nicotine itself are similar to another popular drug, caffeine.

IS NICOTINE ADDICTIVE?

Yes, Nicotine is an addictive drug, but there is no evidence to show it is more harmful than a cup of coffee.

IS VAPING BETTER THAN SMOKING?

There is plenty of research available online for you to read, and if you have questions we encourage you to consult a medical professional. There are online forums and testimonials from smokers that have effectively and quickly kicked the smoking habit using an electronic cigarette, gradually lowering their nicotine intake to remove all addiction to the drug. We make no such therapeutic claims ourselves.

Psychologists and tobacco-addiction specialists, including some in world-leading laboratories think it’s now time to distinguish clearly between nicotine and smoking. The evidence shows smoking is the killer, not nicotine. Source Scientific American //
