Is Vaping better than smoking traditional cigarettes? Find out today!

Since vaping has become popular there have been a lot of studies on the effects on the body caused by inhaling the e-liquid vapour. There are different brands of e-juice, different flavours and a lot of devices available.  All of these have an effect on the results of the studies and make it difficult to give a definitive answer, so let’s concentrate on what we do know and offer 4 simple facts.

1. You are not smoking dead plants.

This is important as the toxic and carcinogenic fumes found in tobacco are simply not present in e-liquids.  According to cancer.org, there are at least 70 of these harmful chemicals found in tobacco smoke. Let’s not forget the radioactive properties found in the fertilizer that the tobacco plants are grown in, all burnt and inhaled by the traditional cigarette smoker.

2. Saving money.

Assuming that a smoker buys 1 pack a day for a minimum of $20 NZD they will spend 7,300 NZD a year.  In reality, it’s probably close to 9,000 NZD.  In comparison, if you were a vaper you would be spending around 75 NZD per month or 900 NZD per year on e-liquids. If you were a smoker, wouldn’t you rather spend 10% of the amount you are now?  Yes, of course, you still have to buy a Vape device, but a good quality device from a trusted supplier like Smokavape is a lot less than 8,000 NZD.

3. People will like you more.

There is nothing vaping can do for your personality, but the lack of tobacco smell emanating from your clothes and your smoker’s breath should make you more popular. Non-smokers are really sensitive to the smell and some people will avoid you altogether once they get a whiff. Vaping, however, has none of the nasty odours associated with cigarettes, with a variety of flavours from fruits to coffees and sweets, the smells can be very pleasant, so, more friends, awesome!

4. Healthier you.

We cannot say for certain that there are no detrimental effects to vaping, we cannot say it’s a good way to quit smoking. However, a recent study funded by Cancer Research and conducted in the UK by UCL and Dr Lion Shahab (UCL Epidemiology and Public Health), concludes “Our results also suggest that while e-cigarettes are not only safer, the amount of nicotine they provide is not noticeably different to conventional cigarettes. This can help people to stop smoking altogether by dealing with their cravings in a safer way.” Quitting smoking can lower your blood pressure and heart rate almost immediately, so, less chance of a heart attack, sounds good. Read the report and decide for yourself.

Conclusion

Whether you replace cigs with e-cigs or not is irrelevant, smoking isn’t good for you and the people around you, that’s a fact. If you want to stop, find your own way to quit.
